#1 [Quote of the day] deciding ON Tuesday, 26 June 2012 AT 07:26

Assalamualaikum.

making a decision, how hard it'd be? lemme tell you about one of the decision that i'd to make that would turn my life the other way around if i chose otherwise.

i was a matriculation student for 2011/2012 session taking both biology and physics as my subjects (besides chemistry and mathematics), modul 1 to be precise. when i first got the information about which modul i'd to take, i was miserable. the thing is, i was pretty sure that my dream was to become a pharmacist. so i figured, why'd i waste my time learning physics? i should transfer to modul 3 instead (biology and science computer). and then 2 weeks after my enrollment in matriculation, the forms for students who wish to change their course were circulated. this was the critical time. i got both supportive and unsupportive feedbacks from my teachers, friends and family. the decision was in my hand.

but then, i became quite fond of physics during the 2 weeks time. i wanted to learn more about the subject. to conduct more experiments on physics. to draw more graphs (which now, i'm in love with). it was fun to obtain my own results from the experiments. it may not be precise like Isaac Newton's or Albert Einstein's or even Werner Heisenberg's. but i was satisfied with my own results from the experiments. and it sure was triple fun when my result had the lowest percentage of uncertainty in the class. it means, the result was almost the same as the geniuses'. felt like a boss, ya know? ngeh ngeh ngeh

and yup, i decided to stay. i decided to try harder. alhamdulillah, my decision wasn't a mistake. and i got A for physics but A- for biology in the last exam. see how big the difference is if i transferred to modul 3? i can't even imagine my cgpa if i did. esp with all those science computer notes that need to be memorized

back to the main topic, do one should walk away or try harder? it depends actually. of course, in most of the case he should try harder.nevertheless, there are times when he need to walk away. but the truth is, whether the decision is right or wrong depends wholly on the person. it depends on how he value his decision. how he makes the best out of it.

p/s : i 'walked away' from a comestic product and i feel good about it because it made my skin itchy. buehehehe
